August 6th,North Latitude 42° - Dream Highway No. 202Self-drivingRVInauguralExperience Campset off from Beijing and after nearly6 hours of driving, arrived at the Huludao campsite in Liaoning at 2 pm.
The scenery of Huludao is not as lively and bustling as Beidaihe, but its peaceful tourist atmosphere and simple local culture give off a unique utopian vibe. The cool sea breeze of Huludao blew away the fatigue of the journey. After a quick tidy-up, the organizers had already prepared a lavish seafood feast. To ensure the utmost freshness, all the seafood was purchased from the early morning seafood market on the 6th. Afterward, team members either strolled along the beach or collected seashells, fully immersing themselves in the “slow life” that RV travel offers. Some even hiked 2.5 kilometers to Longhuitou Scenic Area to enjoy the view and the breeze. “Living in the fast-paced concrete jungle of the city all year round, being able to take a relaxing half-day to stroll and unwind, to let go of everything and truly embrace this sense of ‘slowness,’ is an incredibly precious experience,” said Ms. Xie, a team member, as she sipped her kung fu tea inside her RV.
Pleasant times always fly by. By evening,at 8 pm, the sky gradually darkened.The outdoor manager’s hard work throughout the afternoonyielded delightful results.Beach, RVs, bonfire, barbecue — could there be a better combination? The canopy was set up, the skewers were ready,music played softly from the speakers, and cooking enthusiasts among the teampan-fried steamed buns and vegetables with gas stoves or took on the role of grill masters. Everyone gathered around, drinking beer and eating skewers, watching the children perform... Although the team members were strangers at the start, within just one afternoon, they grew as relaxed and close as old friends, all enjoying the rare tranquility and joy in this “sea-meets-sky” setting,sharing a truly rare moment of ease and happiness!
At 10 pm,the water-filled RV provided enough facilities for the whole group6to freshen up. Once everything was tidied, everyone lay in bed. Though tired, they were filled with anticipation for the new journey ahead.

This event was organized by Swordsfang Outdoor and co-organized by Wotu RV Travel, Zhongxin Culture Development Co., Ltd., and Gaomen Camping.From the 6th to the 9th, the convoy set off from Beijing, passing through Huludao in Liaoning, Lulu Lake in Liaoyuan⑷, Tianchi Lake of Changbai Mountain, Helong, and finally entered the China-North Korea border city of Yanji. It is reported that Swordsfang Outdoor plans to develop four classic RV self-driving routes this year. Route 202 (Beijing–Changbai Mountain), as the first operational route, will regularly organize RV self-driving camp tours. The other three routes are: the 318 Sichuan-Tibet Line, the Yangtze River Delta Jiangsu-Zhejiang Line, and the Silk Road Line (Xi'an–Urumqi).
