This ancient city is situated in Xingcheng Village, Dongcheng Town, at the eastern end of the Pinggang Plain in the city. There are no historical documents about this city. According to survey data, the city was built during the Jin Dynasty (1115–1234 AD). It is square-shaped, measuring 525 meters from east to west and 515 meters from north to south, with an orientation of 10 degrees. The city walls were constructed from rammed earth and feature corner towers and 18 bastions. There are two city gates, located in the middle sections of the eastern and southern walls, each equipped with barbican defenses. A 10-meter-wide moat surrounds the city. Inside the city, artifacts such as beast-mask roof tiles and a bronze official seal inscribed with “Shangjinglu Wanhu Niu Haizi Yin” dated to the second year of Emperor Xuanzong of Jin’s Zhenyou era have been unearthed. This site holds significant value for the study of the history of the Liao and Jin dynasties in Helong City.
