Daoyin Building

The Daoyin Building is located north of the State Government Office. It is the site of the Yanji Border Affairs Office during the Qing Dynasty, built in the first year of the Xuantong era (1909). The complex consists of 221 grey-brick tile-roofed houses, among which the most magnificent is the elegant and dignified government office building. It measures 20.8 meters from east to west and 18.6 meters from north to south. This two-story building features grey bricks and tiles, double eaves with upturned corners, and is surrounded by corridors. There are 22 red-painted round wooden pillars located 1.7 meters from the walls. In 1914, it was renamed the Yanji Dao (Prefecture) Office after being converted into the Yanji Dao Government Office, hence the name “Daoyin Building.” It is the only surviving Qing Dynasty building in Yanji City and has a history of nearly 100 years.
