“Anlega (Anlega)” means “royal” or “noble” in the Pakistani language. The operators of Anlega Cuisine are a couple—the boss is Pakistani, and the boss’s wife is a native Taiwanese girl. The boss moved to Taiwan for love but often struggled to find suitable meals due to dietary restrictions, which led to the idea of opening his own restaurant. The boss’s wife says, “Because it’s authentic, we use real ingredients and never cut corners.”

When it comes to Indian food, curry is a must. The signature “Mixed Vegetable Curry” uses more than 10 kinds of imported Indian spices such as cloves, cinnamon, cumin, turmeric, and pepper, ground into fine powder. The resulting curry is especially fragrant, with just the right flavor that isn’t too heavy, paired with potatoes and tomatoes for a refreshing taste. There are five types of naan or roti breads to choose from, all made using traditional local methods and baked in a tandoor oven—the most home-style dish.

In addition, the beef wrap features a filling of beef curry. It’s flavorful on its own or with yogurt sauce or ketchup. The accompanying tomato soup, according to the boss’s wife, is made 100% from fresh tomatoes, giving it a natural and slightly tangier taste than usual.
