Shenyang Northeast Asia Ski Resort is situated within the Shenyang National Forest Park in Magang Township, Xinchengzi District, Shenyang City. It is the largest ski resort near an urban area in China and functions as a comprehensive leisure complex that combines sightseeing, fitness, entertainment, and vacation. The ski resort was built in August 2001 and officially opened to the public on December 30, 2001.

Covering a total area of 700,000 square meters, the Northeast Asia Ski Resort includes over 120,000 square meters of ski runs and more than 50,000 square meters of snow play areas. It features a variety of facilities such as tubing zones, alpine skiing slopes, beginner-friendly slopes, floodlit skiing areas, ski instruction zones, snowmobile tracks, sledding areas, and sled runs. The resort area also houses hotels and guesthouses that accommodate dining, lodging, and entertainment needs, offering accommodations and conference venues across different price ranges. Visitors can enjoy a diverse culinary selection, including Sichuan, Cantonese, and Liaoning cuisine, as well as Chinese-Western fast food and rustic farm-style dishes.

The upgraded resort now includes various standardized facilities: a 100-meter cycling track; a 100-meter sledding track; a 100-meter instructional slope; a 250-meter tubing run; a 300-meter sled track; a 400-meter snowmobile course; a 700-meter intermediate ski run; 700-meter and 750-meter advanced ski runs; and a 1,200-meter all-purpose slope. With its superior natural terrain and complete facilities, the resort is fully capable of hosting national-level individual skiing competitions.
