Shenyang Wolong Temple

Shenyang Wolong Temple is a cultural tourism attraction.

Wolong Zen Temple is located to the south of Guai Po Scenic Area, covering an area of approximately 10,000 square meters with a construction area of 3,000 square meters. It is a typical Ming and Qing religious architectural complex. The temple enshrines the Three Ages of Buddhas, the Four Great Bodhisattvas, the Eighteen Arhats, and others. It has now become a site for both religious worship and sightseeing by visitors.

Shenyang Guai Po Wolong Zen Temple (Peng'en Temple) gradually developed from a temple originally built during the Eastern Han Dynasty. The temple was relocated here in 1994 from Hanpo Ridge’s Laoye Temple and officially opened to tourists in 1996. The current structures mainly feature architectural characteristics of the Qing Dynasty. The temple covers an area of over 15,000 square meters, with a construction area of about 5,000 square meters.

It is divided into the Mountain Gate, the Heavenly King Hall, the Mahavira Hall, and the East and West Side Halls. The temple enshrines the Three Ages of Buddhas, the Four Heavenly Kings, and numerous Arhats. It is one of the larger and better-preserved Buddhist temples in Northeast China. It has now become a destination for both sightseeing and religious worship by visitors.
