The Kangping Confucius Temple is a cultural tourism attraction.

Confucius Temple

The original site of the Confucius Temple was located within the grounds of what is now Kangping No. 1 Middle School. It was built between the ninth and eleventh years of the Guangxu reign (1883–1885). The temple complex included a Hall of Great Achievements (Dacheng Hall), three halls on the east and west sides respectively, a Chongsheng Shrine, three lintel gates, one Pan Bridge, one Pan Pond, three mountain gates, one screen wall, and one Kuixing Tower. Its architecture was grand and craftsmanship exquisite, enjoying considerable renown among similar structures in Fengtian Province at the time. Unfortunately, it was demolished in 1950. A stone stele remains in front of the screen wall, inscribed with the words: “By Imperial Order, All Civil and Military Officials Must Dismount Here.”
