The Chengzigou Ancient City Site is located to the north of Chengzigou Village, Gaidingwopu Village, Zhangqiang Town, about 35 kilometers west of the county seat. The site is roughly square in shape, with earthen walls. It has an east gate and a west gate, but the location of the south gate is unclear, and there is no north gate. The city wall is 939 meters in circumference. Currently, only the western section of the southern wall remains, stretching 54 meters, while the eastern and western walls are relatively intact. The northern wall has deteriorated significantly, whereas the western wall is still well-preserved, slightly outwardly curved in an arc shape. On the ground within the site, there are gray bricks, decorative patterned roof tiles, drip tiles, and ceramic fragments, all dating back to the Liao and Jin dynasties. Artifacts unearthed in earlier years, such as iron pots, iron ploughshares, and copper coins, no longer remain. In October 1980, the county government designated it as a key cultural relics protection unit.
