Former Site of the Liaoning General Station

It is located in Heping District, Shenyang City, Liaoning Province. It is classified as an important modern historical site and representative building, with the batch number 21010002. Its specific address is No. 100 Zongzhan Road, Heping District, Shenyang City.

The Liaoning General Station features a symmetrical plan: the center is the waiting hall, with offices and transportation service spaces on both sides. Constructed with reinforced concrete, small wooden-framed windows, and a green iron-tiled roof, the building covers a floor area of 8,485 square meters. It is a masterpiece by Mr. Yang Tingbao, a renowned modern Chinese architect. The architectural form is grand and majestic, with design influences from Western classicism. It combines a sense of the era with traditional Chinese aesthetics, showcasing high design standards and practical value.

In May 2013, the State Council (State Council Document [2013] No. 13) designated the Former Site of the Liaoning General Station as a Major Historical and Cultural Site Protected at the National Level.

Protected Area: Extending 12 meters east and south from the outer base of the building’s exterior walls, west to the red line of the eastern side of Fuxin Second Street, and north to the red line of the southern side of Harbin Road.

Construction Control Zone: A Category III control zone extends 30 meters east of the protected area and encompasses the area within the red line of the northern side of Zongzhan Road to the south.
