Dalian Women’s Police Mounted Patrol Base

The Dalian Women’s Police Mounted Patrol Base is located on Zhongqing Street in Zhongshan District, Dalian. This is where the city’s female mounted police live and train every day. As the fame of Dalian’s women’s mounted police has spread far and wide, their base has garnered increasing attention. To meet the needs of visitors, the Dalian Public Security Bureau has opened the base to the public, making it one of the highlights of the “Pearl of the North,” Dalian. The base combines training, tourism, and shopping, and is now a national 3A-level tourist attraction.

The Women’s Mounted Police Unit was established in December 1994. It currently has 43 officers, equipped with three Santana patrol vehicles, ten 250cc Honda police motorcycles, and 13 service horses. Today, the unit has become an important force that integrates public security, patrolling, safety protection, urban management, sports, and ceremonial performances. Many domestic and international visitors have praised the unit as “a beautiful scenery of the coastal city” and “China’s premier mounted police unit.”

To enhance the overall quality of the Women’s Mounted Police Unit, the municipal government allocated special funds to build a dedicated training base. Covering an area of 30,000 square meters, it includes a 2,500-square-meter office building, a 415-meter racetrack, and a 6,000-square-meter performance area. The Women’s Mounted Police Base has now become a showcase window for Dalian’s image.
