On June 27, the Eight Colors Water Park rented its venue to Reber International Integrated Marketing for a color party. An explosion suspected to have been caused by colored powder on the stage left hundreds of people with severe burns. Multiple hotels in Taipei have also offered free lodging for the victims' families, joining efforts to support those affected by the incident. Starting today, Shell Nest Youth Hostel will provide free backpacker beds for families of Eight Colors Park accident victims whose relatives are being treated at National Taiwan University Hospital, Zhongxing Branch of Taipei City Hospital, or Mackay Memorial Hospital.
