The “2015 New Taipei City Gongliao International Marine Music Festival” was held with great fanfare from July 24 to 26. The lineup of performers was officially unveiled on June 24. The festival kicked off on July 24 with live performances by artists such as HUSH, MISS KO葛仲珊, and 卢广仲, setting the stage for the sea celebration, and concluded on the final day with a performance by 陈绮贞 as the closing act. In addition to immersing yourself in the passionate energy of original music, take the opportunity to fully explore the Northeast Coast. With the salty sea breeze and the blue sky and white clouds along the shoreline, the beautiful coastal scenery makes it the perfect summer vacation destination.

● Old Caoling Tunnel, Magang Ma’ao
The Old Caoling Trail was recognized at the International Tourism Awards just this April. Stretching 2,167 meters in length, the Iron Horse Tunnel route combines history, culture, and sightseeing. By cycling through the route, you can enjoy the scenery of the old railway, connect with the coastal bicycle path, pass through the Shicheng Scenic Area, and even catch a distant view of Turtle Island to take in the beautiful landscape. The route extends further to the San Diego Cape Lighthouse — Taiwan’s easternmost point — where you can watch the waves, and then continue to the Ma’ao fishing village, known for its stone houses and seasonal seafood!
