Huifeng Museum

Dalian Huifeng Museum is located at Bihai Garden on Hutan Road, Zhongshan District. The cultural relics exhibition themed “Footprints of Dalian” condenses the city’s history from 17,000 years ago to the modern era.

In this well-rounded private museum, visitors can find not only fossils of trilobites from the Cambrian period, stone tools and knives from the Neolithic Age, knife-shaped and spade-shaped coins from the Warring States Period, and patterned bricks from the Eastern Han Dynasty, but also images and materials of heroes such as Guan Xiangying and Jin Boyang who sacrificed their lives for the founding of New China. There are also photos of senior generals from the People’s Liberation Army who came from Dalian, major leaders of past municipal party committees and governments, academicians of the two academies (Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering) who originated in Dalian, as well as representatives from various fields including education, culture, art, sports, and more. The total number of exhibits exceeds ten thousand.

The rich collection enables every visitor to learn about the development of Dalian as a city, the history of the Dalian people in their struggle against imperialism and feudalism, their fight for national liberation, and their efforts in building and prospering their hometown. It inspires citizens to strive for a better future.
