Camel Mountain Coastal Forest Park

Camel Mountain Coastal Forest Park is located in Tuoshan Township, Wafangdian City, Liaoning Province, situated in the middle section of the western coast of the Liaodong Peninsula. In August 1998, it was approved by the Liaoning Provincial Forestry Department as a provincial-level forest park. The park covers a total area of 2,000 hectares and features over 50 natural landscapes and scenic spots.

The forest park consists of three major scenic areas: Longfengtan Coastal Resort, Xiping Mountain Natural Scenic Area, and Camel Mountain Natural Forest Reserve and Hunting Ground. These three areas showcase unique landscapes formed by their distinctive mountains, waters, forests, and rocks. Among them, the most distinctive is the Longfengtan Coastal Resort. Stretching 13.6 kilometers from east to west, the resort features bizarre and striking reefs at both ends, such as the “Western Clay Forest,” “Phoenix Rock,” “Sun-Gathering Stone,” “Gorilla Watching the Tide,” and “Buddhist Scripture Rock,” each with its own unique charm. The central 5-kilometer stretch of the beach offers an exceptionally clean and undisturbed shoreline, with calm waves at high tide and fine, flat sand at low tide. About a kilometer offshore lies the renowned Baxian Island, smiling invitingly across the sea, almost dreamlike, with an abundance of seafood treasures readily available.
