The competition included three events with six...42kilometer individual mountain marathon, a21kilometer individual mountain marathon, and a4.2kilometer mass fitness race across six categories.

This leg of the event was jointly organized by the Chinese Mountaineering Association, the Henan Provincial Sports Bureau, and the People’s Government of Zhumadian City; co-hosted by the Zhumadian Municipal Education and Sports Bureau, the Civilization Office, the Tourism Bureau, and the People’s Government of Suiping County; and exclusively operated and promoted by Beijing Nantianxing Sports Industry Development Co., Ltd.
On the morning of the race day at8:30, the opening ceremony was held at the South Gate Square of]V Yashan Scenic Area. Attendees included Wang Yongfeng, Deputy Director of the Mountaineering Sports Management Center of the General Administration of Sport of China and Vice President of the Chinese Mountaineering Association; Zhang Yuemin, Deputy Inspector of the Henan Provincial Sports Bureau; Li Baoqing, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Zhumadian Municipal Committee; Feng Yumei, Vice Mayor of the People’s Government of Zhumadian City; Li Wenmao, Head of the New Projects Department of the Mountaineering Sports Management Center of the General Administration of Sport of China; Liu Yongxiang, Deputy Director of the Zhangzhou Investment Promotion Bureau Economic and Technological Development Zone Management Committee and Minister of Propaganda; Zhang Zaiqiang, Deputy District Chief of the People’s Government of Xinzhou District, Wuhan; Xie Lili, Deputy Secretary-General of the People’s Government of Zhumadian City; Lai Xiaoqing, Deputy Minister of the Propaganda Department of the CPC Zhumadian Municipal Committee; He Dong, Secretary of the CPC Suiping County Committee; Hou Yun, County Chief of the People’s Government of Suiping County; Bai Yunhe, Deputy Director of the Zhumadian Municipal Tourism Bureau; Guo Zihui, General Manager of Beijing Nantianxing Sports Industry Development Co., Ltd.; and Song Fujin, Chairman of Henan Yashan Tourism Group, among other leaders and guests.
]V Yashan Scenic Area spans a total area of50square kilometers, boasting a wealth of cultural and historical sites as well as countless natural landscapes.1998The TV series "Journey to the West" was also filmed here. After more than ten years of development, construction, and meticulous refinement by]V Yashan Tourism Group,]V Yashan has evolved into a comprehensive tourist destination integrating multiple national-level brands such as a National5A-grade Tourist Attraction and a China Sports Tourism Premium Scenic Spot.
At9a.m., the race officially started at the South Gate of]V Yashan Scenic Area, with athletes who had warmed up dashing off the starting line. The mass fitness race followed the inner-loop road within the scenic area, while participants in the 21-kilometer and 42-kilometer individual mountain marathons ran past Pipa Lake, traversed major scenic spots within the area, and reached the finish line at]V Yashan Tianmo Lake.42The participants of the 10-kilometer individual race and21the 20-kilometer individual race pass by Pipa Lake, traverse the main scenic spots within the resort, and arrive at the finish line at Yu Mountain Tianmo Lake.
