Jindou Lake is located in the middle reaches of the Fu Zhou River, 23 kilometers from Wafangdian and 6 kilometers from the Wafangdian exit of the Shenyang–Dalian Expressway. It is a national large-scale Class II reservoir that integrates water supply, power generation, flood control, and tourism.

Jindou Lake boasts rippling blue waters, gatherings of sandpipers, beautiful mountain scenery, and the fragrance of wildflowers. All year round, it attracts numerous visitors who come to hike in the hills, paint landscapes, go fishing, paddle boats, or enjoy ice-skating and skiing. It is a scenic destination that’s enjoyable in all four seasons.
