Dalian Xianyu Bay Tourist Resort is located in Wanghai Village, Wangsheng Township, in the coastal western part of Wafangdian City, on the southwestern side of the Liaodong Peninsula. Boasting a prime geographical location and convenient transportation, the resort is intersected by the Harbin–Dalian Highway and the Shenyang–Dalian Expressway.

The overall planned area of Dalian Xianyu Bay Tourist Resort spans 45 square kilometers, comprising an active zone and a quiet zone. The active zone includes a beach bathing area, Xianyu Bay Park, a commercial service area, and an administrative area. The quiet zone consists of villas and resorts, a forest camping park, residential areas, and a technology service zone. The scenic area features 12 major attractions: Bathing Beauty Bay Beach, Fairy Dressing Island, the resort, Guanhai Temple, Yangguanbu Ancient City, the Marine Amusement Park, the Forest Camping Park, the Immortal’s Cave, the Medicine King Temple, Wanghai Pavilion, Lotus Pond Breeze, and coastal cultural landscapes.

The Xianyu Bay Natural Seaside Bathing Beach within Dalian Xianyu Bay Tourist Resort stretches five kilometers along the coast. With clear waters, fine sand, vast seas, beautiful scenery, shallow water, gentle waves, and a flat seabed, the beach is perfect for relaxation. The local sea sand contains silicon dioxide, which is fine and uniform—ideal for sand bathing to enhance blood circulation and highly effective in treating back, leg, and joint ailments. The area also hosts numerous sanatoriums and offers comprehensive accommodation, dining, and other service facilities, making it an excellent destination for seaside tourism, vacationing, and summer retreats.
