Fuzhou Yongfeng Pagoda

Fuzhou Yongfeng Pagoda is a cultural relic protection unit of Liaoning Province.

Yongfeng Pagoda is located in Fuzhou Town, Wafangdian City. Built during the Liao Dynasty, it is an octagonal, thirteen-story, closely-eaved brick pagoda standing 28 meters tall. The structure is divided into three parts: the base, the body, and the top. Each side of the first story features a Buddha niche, approximately 2 meters high, 1 meter wide, and 0.4 meters deep. To the west of the pagoda lies Yongfeng Temple, from which the pagoda gets its name. At sunset, when the surrounding mountains and clouds turn dark, the tip of the pagoda alone glows a striking red, creating a magnificent sight known as “Yongfeng Sunset,” which ranks first among the Eight Scenic Views of Fuzhou. The pagoda features a unique architectural structure and is the only remaining Liao Dynasty pagoda in the Dalian area. In 2003, it was designated as a key cultural relic protection unit of Liaoning Province by the provincial government.

Protected area: within 10 meters outside the pagoda base.

Construction control zone: the first-class control zone extends 50 meters beyond the protected area, and the second-class control zone extends 100 meters beyond the first-class zone.
