Tieling Panlong Mountain

The Panlong Mountain Scenic Area is located in the southern part of Tieling Economic Development Zone, covering a planned area of 15 square kilometers. It boasts beautiful landscapes, rich biodiversity, diverse vegetation, distinct regional culture, and valuable historical relics.

On the southern foothills of Panlong Mountain lies a deep ravine stretching a thousand meters, anciently known as Cigou. Volumes 14 to 18 of the Tieling County Annals, in the section on scenic spots, record: “Cigou is located 20 li south of the city, northeast of Gu Guantun Village, where lush vegetation thrives. Within the mountains stands the Sacred Water Temple, offering a rather serene environment.” The ravine is shaded by ancient towering trees that block out the sunlight, and has long been known as the “Panlong Fairyland.”

The scenic area features the Buddhist Sacred Water Temple, Taoist Chunyang Palace, the Goddess Temple, the exhibition hall of the historic figure Li Chengliang, the Cigou Orchard, the Maple Tree Valley Film Base, and the under-construction Lingshan Sacred Water Tourist Area. Visitors can engage in religious culture tours, fitness and leisure activities, eco-agricultural tourism, as well as observe Tieling Wans, pick fruits, and more.

Panlong Mountain stands like a giant dragon dominating the northern Liaoning plains, stretching majestically with rugged beauty and ever-changing scenery throughout the four seasons. In mid-spring, pear blossoms and willows display their fresh greens; in summer, peaks and forests provide cool shade; in autumn, frosted red leaves and golden fruits abound; in winter, snow blankets the jade-like temples and silver pines. A visit here feels like stepping into a fairyland.
