Tieling Yinge Academy

Tieling Yinge Academy is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

Yinge Academy is the only ancient academy in Northeast China that has been preserved to this day. It is one of the five renowned academies of the Qing Dynasty and the foremost academy in the Guandong region, holding a pivotal position in the educational history of the Northeast. It "pioneered local education" and nurtured a large number of outstanding talents. Our beloved Premier studied at Yinge Academy during his primary school years. Yinge Academy is now a Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit of Liaoning Province, and the Memorial Hall of the Premier’s Former Primary School Site within it has been designated as a Patriotic Education Base of Liaoning Province.

Yinge Academy is located to the right of the southern gate of the ancient Tieling city — now within the bustling Yinge residential community — and is a serene and classic garden-style architectural complex from the Qing Dynasty.
