Fuxin is known as the "Agate Capital of China," producing over 70% of the country's agate. The "Fuxin Agate King," weighing 66 tons, is recognized as the largest in the world. Fuxin agate carving boasts a history of more than a thousand years and is among the first batch of national intangible cultural heritages. It is renowned for its ingenuity, artistry, and uniqueness. From the Three Kingdoms period to the end of the Qing Dynasty, it was continuously presented as tribute to the imperial court. - Premier Zhou Enlai instructed that the agate carving "Water Curtain Cave," now housed in the Palace Museum in Beijing, originated from Fuxin. The biennial "China · Fuxin Agate Festival" attracts over 300,000 domestic and international merchants, gemstone experts, and tourists to admire and purchase agate crafts. Shijiazi Agate City is located in Shijiazi Town, Fuxin Mongolian Autonomous County, covering an area of 10,000 square meters. It is a national industrial tourism demonstration site, one of Liaoning Province’s top ten tourist souvenir markets, and also the national center for agate processing, distribution, and culture. Its agate products, available in seven major categories, over 200 varieties, and thousands of styles, are exported both domestically and internationally.
