Huangyakou Scenic Area

The Huangyakou Scenic Area in Jianyi Town, Dashiqiao City, is located in the eastern mountainous region of Dashiqiao City, covering an area of 24 square kilometers. It borders Hadabei Town of Xiuyan County to the southeast and neighbors Gushan Town and Chagou Town of Haicheng City to the north. The mountain ranges in the Huangyakou scenic area belong to the Qianshan branch of the Longgang Mountain Range, which is part of the Changbai Mountain System, with elevations ranging from 206 to 967.8 meters. Its main peak, "One Foot Across Three Borders," stands at 967.8 meters above sea level.

The Huangyakou Natural Ecological Tourism Area features undulating peaks, overlapping ridges, and majestic, rolling mountains that create a grand and imposing landscape. It boasts ancient pines that are thousands of years old, century-old forests, and ten-year-old vines, all contributing to dense vegetation. The area is rich in precious tree species, medicinal herbs, fragrant wild vegetables, and blooming mountain flowers. There are 15 natural springs that flow year-round, offering sweet and refreshing water, and serving as one of the sources of the eastern branch of the Daqing River. The area is home to over 50 species of wild animals, including roe deer, foxes, and wolves, while wild rabbits, pheasants, squirrels, and various mountain birds are commonly seen. Its high-altitude meadows and azalea forests are unique to southern Liaoning, giving Huangyakou a distinctive charm and widespread fame, earning it the reputation of being the “Finest in Southern Liaoning.”

With a forest coverage rate of 90%, the area is surrounded by clouds drifting over mountain ranges and winds rustling through forests, resembling a fairyland on earth. It offers abundant natural charm and serves as a natural museum where visitors can enjoy flowers in spring, escape the heat in summer, harvest fruits in autumn, and go skiing in winter. Known as a human “Eden,” a natural oxygen bar, and a destination that combines sightseeing, vacationing, scientific research, and exploration of nature’s wonders, the Huangyakou Natural Ecological Tourism Area boasts exceptional tourism resources with great development potential. It already possesses the necessary elements for tourism development.
