Dozens of Policemen from Panlong Branch Ride Bikes, Drawing Public Attention
On the morning of the 28th, dozens of policemen from the Panlong Branch of the Kunming Public Security Bureau rode out in single file on bicycles. This is an important initiative as part of the Panlong Public Security Branch’s efforts to promote “Harmonious Police Camp” cultural development.
Recently, the Panlong Public Security Branch has been actively working on building the “Harmonious Police Camp Project,” aiming to enhance harmonious interaction both within and outside the police force, allowing officers to “work happily and live joyfully.” Seizing the opportunity, the Panlong Public Security Branch organized officers who enjoy cycling into a team called the “Panjing Police Bike Team.” Every weekend, instead of heading to scenic mountainous areas, they bring themed activities into communities to engage directly with residents, integrating daily tasks such as legal education and fostering harmonious police-community relations into their events. During yesterday’s launch ceremony, the riders focused on Taoyuan Square, distributing informational pamphlets on fire and theft prevention to residents, teaching them how to protect themselves. Policeman Li Qing said, “The cycling activity not only helps keep us fit but also serves as an excellent interactive platform for police training, building harmonious police-public relations, and better serving the local community.”
Influenced by the “Police Cycling Team,” more and more officers have expressed interest in riding bikes to work, visiting residents, and running errands. They believe this approach not only brings them closer to the public but also provides a good workout—killing two birds with one stone.
