Last week, explosive news emerged in the outdoor sports world: due to months of failed negotiations between British extreme adventurer Bear Grylls and the U.S. Discovery Channel over two new shows, the channel announced the termination of its collaboration with Grylls. Grylls not only lost the chance to participate in the two new programs but also can no longer host the iconic show 'Man vs. Wild.'

'Man vs. Wild' is broadcast in over 200 countries worldwide, and Grylls became even more famous after joining the Discovery Channel. However, the channel eventually clashed with him over 'contract issues,' likely because Grylls, seeking higher pay, couldn't reach an agreement on pricing.
After being fired by the Discovery Channel, Grylls lost a massive contract. The channel revealed that the latest episode of 'Man vs. Wild' will be hosted by Hollywood actor Jake Gyllenhaal (star of 'Brokeback Mountain') instead of Grylls. In a special episode of 'Man vs. Wild' aired last July, Grylls had taken Gyllenhaal with him to survive in a remote area of Iceland.
Grylls will definitely not stop his wilderness survival journey, as that adventurous life has become an indispensable part of his existence. He vowed that he will continue his television career and his adventures.
"Super proud of my team and everything they’ve done to make 'Man vs. Wild.' Excited for the next adventure show," Grylls posted on Twitter. He also thanked fans and told them, "Don’t go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail!"
