Recently, according to the UK's *The Sun*, 23-year-old British woman Hazel Findlay became the first female to successfully climb the UK's most challenging cliff face after conquering the "once upon a time" cliff near Hartland Quay in Devon. At the same time, she also became widely acknowledged as the best climber in the climbing circle.
Findlay's father started teaching her how to climb when she was just six years old. To date, she has conquered many difficult peaks.
Recalling the day she climbed the "once upon a time" cliff, she said: "When I looked down from the cliff face, I saw a family enjoying the beautiful seaside view. Even though I wondered, 'Why can't I just quietly enjoy some time by the sea, watching the peaceful little village?' I couldn't afford to be distracted—not for a moment—because I had to rely entirely on myself not to fall, and I had to be very clear about where I was at all times. The whole process lasted about an hour, and some parts were extremely dangerous, with the rope sometimes being of no use. The smallest gaps my hands could grip were only as wide as fingernails—just a few millimeters."
