On November 17th, the eighth stop of the "Dajue Temple-Jiufeng Eco-Friendly Hiking" Qingshan Action was successfully held at the Orion Outdoor Theme Shopping Mall in collaboration with the Green Field Outdoor Network. Despite it being the eighth edition of the Qingshan Action, and even though Beijing had experienced snowfall just two days before the event, outdoor enthusiasts passionate about environmental protection still showed tremendous enthusiasm for the initiative. A total of three teams were assembled for this "Dajue Temple-Jiufeng Eco-Friendly Hiking" event, with over 150 participants, demonstrating that many believe outdoor environmental protection is an urgent cause. The participating teams explored several different routes around the Jiufeng area, comprehensively cleaning up litter to restore the natural beauty of Jiufeng. A Green Field editor had the opportunity to join the Eagle Trail Outdoor team and personally experience the unique significance that the Qingshan Action brings to us, to everyone, and to all outdoor enthusiasts.

The "Qingshan Action" — a large-scale outdoor environmental protection campaign organized by Orion Outdoor Theme Shopping Mall in partnership with Green Field Outdoor Network — is a major environmental initiative focused on Beijing and its surrounding areas. Starting in April 2012, Orion has joined forces with Green Field to mobilize outdoor enthusiasts through monthly activities aimed at clearing accumulated litter from hiking trails around Beijing and protecting the environment, restoring the natural green of the mountains. This event marked the eighth stop of the Qingshan Action.
In November, Dajue Temple and Jiufeng were already like a "snow mountain," with fresh snowfall in Beijing just two days prior, and the snow on the mountain had yet to melt. On the morning of the 17th, members of the Kaile Team gathered at the entrance of Dajue Temple at 9:30 AM, preparing to hike the Dajue Temple-Jiufeng route. Despite the cold weather, everyone was in high spirits and ready to embrace this Qingshan Action.
The climb began, and the initial stretch was quite easy.
Due to the recent snowfall in Beijing, some areas of the mountain still had patches of snow, which made climbing considerably more challenging. This was when trekking poles proved to be very useful, as everyone climbed carefully. Of course, they also didn’t forget to have some fun in the snow.

Thanks to everyone’s efforts, by noon, all had reached the mountaintop, where many other hikers had already gathered. It seemed that despite the recent snow, it did not dampen the enthusiasm of hikers to ascend. Everyone was curious about the blue bags carried by the "Qingshan Action" team. After we explained the initiative, many expressed their praise, and some hikers even joined in by taking a blue bag themselves and becoming part of the movement. The "Qingshan Action" team is growing stronger by the day!

The goal of the Qingshan Action is to promote environmental awareness and protect the natural environment. By simply carrying the litter you and those around you generate during outdoor activities down the mountain, you can help make the mountains more beautiful and the skies bluer. Small actions can lead to significant impacts. Let’s ensure that future generations can enjoy even more beautiful mountains and clearer waters!

The eighth stop of the Qingshan Action was a complete success thanks to the joint efforts of all the hikers. Everyone descended the mountain carrying full bags of litter. The sweat and hard work along the way became an indelible highlight of the winter season. In addition to cleaning up trash, the hikers also set a great example for other visitors enjoying the scenic views, reinforcing environmental consciousness among the public.
We thank all the participants of this Qingshan Action. Though the team was small, their impact was powerful. We also firmly believe that, inspired by these hikers, more people will join the effort to protect the environment.
