BIGPACK is one of the earliest European outdoor brands to enter the Chinese market. Founded in 1976 in the Bissingen region of Germany, it has a 36-year history and has long been renowned in the outdoor world for its backpacks. Developed by professional mountaineers, BIGPACK backpacks offer notable flexibility and outstanding load optimization, delivering excellent performance even when carrying heavy gear. Their highly efficient ventilation system helps reduce energy consumption and alleviate fatigue from heavy loads. Sleek design and superior performance are the hallmarks of BIGPACK backpacks. In 2010, the BIGPACK brand was acquired by Hong Kong Toronto Group, marking a new milestone.
In 2012, BIGPACK made a comeback with a brand-new image and a range of high-end, professional products, ushering in the “Moment in the Mountains” with the first Chinese ascent of Ge’nye. It once again demonstrated the outstanding performance and excellence of BIGPACK’s professional outdoor gear under extreme technical climbing conditions and real-world testing.
From specialized backpacks to a full range of outdoor gear including hardshell jackets, down jackets, sleeping bags, and footwear, BIGPACK selects top-tier outdoor technical fabrics and has a professional product testing team. By continuously challenging new levels of difficulty and harsh environments, it sets new standards and drives ongoing product improvement. BIGPACK has now developed four major product lines: the Mountaineering series, which features exceptional functional technology, windproof durability, warmth, and suitability for extreme environments; the Backcountry series, reflecting a leading philosophy of outdoor exploration; and the Trekking and Hiking series, which cater to the needs of general outdoor enthusiasts and urban athletes, offering essential outdoor functionalities such as windproof and waterproof protection, lightweight breathability, and warmth.

Yann Delevaux, International Sports Marketing Director of BIGPACK

BIGPACK adheres to a market strategy of driving brand development through sports marketing. The first Chinese ascent of Ge’nye marked a strong start for BIGPACK in advancing the field of sports marketing in China. Building on this foundation, BIGPACK is planning more internationally engaging and participatory sporting events in 2013. The BIGPACK International Sports Technical Team, led by Yann, will make greater investments in both the international sports market and China.
