"Life is a journey." On the evening of March 8, Zhou Ziqian, hailed as the "Chinese Cycling Warrior," held a salon event in Haikou with dozens of Hainan "travel enthusiasts" to share his 400-day cycling journey around China.

Starting in March 2010, he set off alone from Shenzhen on a cycling trip, passing through provinces such as Yunnan, Xinjiang, and Inner Mongolia, and returned to Shenzhen in May 2011. Over 400 days, he completed a 29,300-kilometer cycling journey around China.
At the salon, Zhou Ziqian presented his five-year cycling experiences through slides and shared his stories and feelings with the attending travel enthusiasts. He said that in 2007, on his 25th birthday, he bought himself a bicycle as a gift, which marked the beginning of his deep connection with "cycling." At the same time, he began to develop the idea of realizing life values through travel. During this period, in order to fulfill his dream, he resolutely quit his job and embarked on a long, arduous cycling journey across mountains and rivers.

"Most of the travel expenses came from savings I had accumulated from my previous job, and some were supported by friends," Zhou Ziqian said. The journey allowed him to meet many mentors and friends. Although he faced many difficulties during the ride, he also received help from many kind-hearted people.
During the exchange, many travel enthusiasts expressed that they were deeply moved after hearing Zhou Ziqian’s cycling story and found it very enlightening. "I learned a lot of valuable experience today, which will be very helpful for my future cycling," said Mr. Huang, one of the attendees.
Speaking of Hainan, Zhou Ziqian said in an interview that what impressed him most was when he cycled to Ledong County in 2010, coinciding with the "Hainan March 3rd Festival." He spent the festival joyfully with the local people that day. "The people of Hainan are not only warm-hearted, but the natural scenery and climate here are also wonderful," Zhou told reporters. He also mentioned that his favorite part of Hainan is the central region, which he believes boasts stunning landscapes and majestic mountains, making it especially suitable for cycling.
Finally, he also revealed to reporters that his next goal is to cycle around the world.
