The final leg of the 2012–2013 National Cross-Country Skiing Championship will be held from April 1 to 7 at the Phoenix Mountain Ski Resort in Yakeshi, where top athletes from across the country will compete fiercely.
The competition is organized by the Winter Sports Management Center of the General Administration of Sport of China, and co-hosted by the Winter Sports Management Center of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the Municipal Sports Bureau, and the Yakeshi Municipal People's Government. The event will adopt the same format as the Winter Olympics. It is understood that a total of 115 coaches and athletes from the PLA team, the Heilongjiang Provincial Snow Training Center, Changchun City, Jilin City, Baishan City, Harbin City, and our city will participate, with all competitors being the top three finishers from each qualifying event. Currently, the 5-kilometer ski trail at the Phoenix Mountain Ski Resort in Yakeshi has been completed, and preparations for the event are underway.
