The 2013 China Nalati Paragliding Expedition Flying Gathering (Global Test Event) will be held from August 2 to 9 at the Nalati Ski Resort in Xinjiang. The VAUDE China Paragliding Team will represent VAUDE and travel to Xinjiang to participate in this event.
Members of the "VAUDE China Paragliding Team" are all former members of the Chinese National Paragliding Team. They have set numerous cross-country flying records and possess strong long-distance flying capabilities. It is believed they will achieve excellent results representing VAUDE. Team Member Introductions:
Liu Haipeng:
1. Member of both the Chinese National Paragliding Team and the VAUDE China Paragliding Team;
2. First place in the 2013 National Championships, currently ranked 2nd in China by FAI;
3. Champion of the 2012 National Championships;
4. Captain of the National Paragliding Team from 2010 to 2012, and has represented the Chinese team in the World Championships in Spain;
5. Participated in international top-tier events such as the Mexico World Cup Finals, Japan Asian Championships, and World Powered Paragliding Championships.
Song Junming:
1. Member of both the Chinese National Paragliding Team and the VAUDE China Paragliding Team. Currently ranked 3rd in China by FAI;
2. Longest flight distance: 128 km in a straight line (took off in Linzhou, Henan in 2009 and landed in Zuojun, Shanxi), highest altitude: 4,800 meters (takeoff elevation 1,200 meters);
3. Third in FAI (International Aeronautical Federation) ranking among Chinese athletes;
4. Second in the Chinese Paragliding Club League rankings;
5. Won first place in the 2010 China Linzhou Paragliding Finals.
Li Ping:
1. Member of both the Chinese National Paragliding Team and the VAUDE China Paragliding Team;
2. Won both the individual duration and overall championships at the 2007 China Shandong Laiwu Paragliding Elite Competition;
3. Second place in the 2008 Asian Beach Games paragliding national team selection cross-country speed race;
4. Participated in the 2009 Paragliding World Cup Asia Warm-up Event and the China Anyang Paragliding Open (team first place in the open event, sixth individually);
5. Won first place as part of the team at the 2009 China Hangzhou Paragliding Elite Competition.
Zhao Zhenjun:
1. Member of both the Chinese National Paragliding Team and the VAUDE China Paragliding Team;
2. Currently ranked 4th in China by FAI;
3. Third place in the 2013 National Championships;
4. Has won second place at the Chifeng International Open;
5. Champion at the 2013 Club League Mianzhu Station.
Zhao Leiming:
1. Member of the China National Paragliding Team and the VAUDE China Paragliding Team;
2. Represented the country in world competitions for many years;
3. Longest flight distance of 131 kilometers;
4. Coach at Dayu Paragliding Club;
5. National paragliding coach.
