At 9:00 AM on November 2, the 2013 National Youth Canoe Marathon Grand Prix kicked off at Puzhehei Scenic Area in Qiubei County, Wenshan Prefecture, Yunnan Province. Nearly 70 top young canoe athletes from 16 provinces and cities across the country competed against each other and exchanged skills. In November, Puzhehei enjoys clear skies, light clouds, and a cool climate—perfect conditions for a canoe race. Set against the area’s uniquely beautiful lakes, mountains, and pastoral scenery, every paddle stroke by the competitors radiated power, making the race even more thrilling to watch. A large crowd of local spectators watched with rapt attention, while cheers, shouts, and applause echoed loudly through the venue.
