Embracing the Era of Running
On February 19, 2014, ISPO Beijing’s 10th Asian Sporting Goods & Fashion Exhibition grandly opened at the China National Convention Center. It was the largest event in its history in terms of scale and number of participating brands. For the first time, this year’s show dedicated an entire exhibition hall to the theme of “Health & Fitness,” and also featured the first-ever dedicated running-themed zone. With more cutting-edge running gear and more direct interactive exchanges, it aimed to share professional knowledge about running with enthusiasts, while also previewing the latest trends in must-have cool gear for runners in 2014. A variety of related activities and expert forums were also held. The “ISPO Sanfo Spring Park Fun Run,” as the most significant outdoor event during the exhibition, saw all 800 available slots filled within just three days of registration — a clear sign that the era of running has truly arrived.
