During the May Day holiday, Kulun Desert was a sea of people, vehicles, and sand. Coinciding with the off-road eZu T3 Desert Challenge, the site gathered over 5,000 vehicles and tens of thousands of outdoor enthusiasts. As a century-old outdoor brand with 113 years of history in the U.S. The outdoor gear industry—Coleman—wouldn’t miss such a lively opportunity.Coleman’s 2014 “Drive Wild, Live Wild” made an appearance at the Kulun Desert self-drive event. We couldn’t suppress our passion for the desert, all just to keep the mundane from overshadowing its beauty.
The Kulun Desert stretches from east to west and is the largest desert belt in Northeast China, known as the “vast 800-li sea of sand.” In Mongolian, it is called “Taminchagan,” meaning “devil” or “hell.” This shows that since ancient times, this desert has been an extremely treacherous place. Yet, the more perilous it is, the more beautiful it becomes, filled with gleaming white sands that create a unique and extraordinary landscape. It has rightfully become a paradise for outdoor campers.

The May Day Coleman experience event is drawing to a close. After getting used to the high-pressure, fast-paced urban life, do you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the city for an adventure? Coleman “Drive wild, Live wild!” We experience thrills in the desert and seek excitement in its dunes. The next leg of our journey has begun, and we look forward to bringing even more and better camping experiences to outdoor enthusiasts everywhere.
