Westin pioneers and accelerates the launch of a series of initiatives
Travelers are increasingly seeking quick and effective wellness getaways to rejuvenate their body and mind, rather than simply extending vacations repetitively. So they opt for more reasonable and simple approaches—briefly switching environments to relax and stay healthy. According to reputable research teams, such as the Global Wellness Tourism Economy report, the wellness tourism sector is expected to grow by over 9% annually by 2017, nearly 50% higher than the overall global tourism industry.
Seizing this opportunity, Westin introduces the Wellness Journey program, offering discerning, health-conscious travelers simple and thoughtful holiday plans. The series draws inspiration from the brand’s six pillars of wellness: Energize the Senses, Achieve Balance, Move More, Nourish the Body, Rest & Renew, and Play More. While themes may vary by event, all training programs are grounded in healthy living and the Westin brand philosophy of “For a Better You.”
