Shanghai, September 19, 2018 — On September 17, 2018, Greenland Hotels accelerated its "asset-light" strategy development by successfully signing contracts for five overseas projects, including the Pullman Kaloum Conakry in Guinea, the Pullman Vientiane and the Ibis Styles Apartments in Vientiane, Laos, the Ibis Styles Phuket Resort in Phuket, Thailand, the Fortune Park Premier in Haiphong, Vietnam, as well as one domestic project, the Ibis Styles Shanghai Jinshan. This signing marks the widest geographic coverage since Greenland International Hotel Management Group began its asset-light expansion and signifies a phased achievement in its layout along the Belt and Road. According to plan, these six hotel projects will open successively within the next one to two years.

This signing represents the widest geographic coverage since Greenland Hotels Group began its asset-light expansion and marks a phased victory in the group’s strategic layout along the Belt and Road. With this signing, Greenland Hotels has now signed contracts for over 40 hotel projects internationally, totaling more than 9,500 rooms. The brand has successfully established a presence in key cities along the Belt and Road, including Phnom Penh in Cambodia, Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, Bangkok, Pattaya, and Phuket in Thailand, Vientiane in Laos, and Haiphong in Vietnam, as well as in Guinea in Africa, which lies within the natural extension zone of the Belt and Road.
The Pullman Kaloum Conakry in Guinea is the first and only hotel in Africa built and managed by a Chinese company. Its signing marks Greenland Hotels Group as the first Chinese hotel management company to enter the African continent.

Africa, Guinea — Pullman Kaloum Hotel
The Pullman Kaloum Hotel in Guinea is located in the very center of Conakry, the capital city, and is positioned as a large-scale comprehensive business hotel. With a total construction area of 38,000 square meters, it will include 291 guest rooms and 40 executive apartments, and is expected to open by the end of September 2018.
Laos, Vientiane — Pullman Hotel and Ibis Styles Apartments
Located in the That Luang Lake Special Economic Zone in Vientiane. The project is 2 km from the Prime Minister’s Office, 6 km from the airport, and 3 km from That Luang Stupa. The site serves as a gateway hub connecting the eastern and western parts of the city, integrating major functions such as financial offices, commercial spaces, residential areas, and entertainment, supplemented by municipal services, hospitals, educational and religious facilities. The Ibis Styles Apartments have completed civil construction and are currently in the interior design phase, with a construction area of approximately 25,000 square meters and around 250 rooms. The Pullman Hotel is currently under civil construction, with a building area of about 35,000 square meters and approximately 300 rooms.
Thailand, Phuket — Ibis Styles Phuket Resort
The project is located on Kamala Beach, a pristine private beach area in Phuket, covering a total area of 30,000 square meters. It consists of 200 independent villas with direct sea views. The resort is equipped with a swimming pool, gym, restaurant, and is built to a five-star standard. It is a rare luxury villa-style resort in Phuket and will serve leisure travelers from around the world in the region upon completion.
Vietnam, Haiphong — Fortune Park Premier Hotel
Invested and developed by Qiaofeng Group, the project is located within the OUR CITY complex and will feature 85 guest rooms. It is expected to open in December 2018.
China, Shanghai — Ibis Styles Shanghai Jinshan
The project is situated on Xincheng Road in Jinshan District, located at the core of the Urban Beach scenic area, and will be the only five-star standard hotel in the vicinity. With a construction area of approximately 40,000 square meters and 302 guest rooms, it is expected to open in 2019.
