As the event director of the Shanghai Pudong International Women’s Half Marathon, the first women’s marathon organized by the Chinese Athletics Association, Wang Han shared his thought process on how he strived to put himself in the runners’ shoes, racked his brains, and worked hard to deliver a women-focused event that provides thoughtful services for female runners.
2015In the year, China held at least184marathon events, several times more than2014year. Among them,19marathons signed contracts with CCTV Sports and were broadcast on CCTV’s sports channel, generating significant influence. Channel5, as an important part of CCTV’s sports division, also put forward a vision to build a running media platform and service platform, with the slogan“50“Horse50City50Ten Thousand Core Runners””, and in2016year, cooperated to varying degrees with50marathon events, providing value-added services for as many runners as possible across the country.
