These scenes have always symbolized unimaginable power and freedom for tough guys pursuing their dreams and individualistic lifestyles. On December 20, the 2015 Red Bull “China’s Best Bikers” event once again gathered over 300 heavyweight motorcycle enthusiasts from across the country, among whom more than a hundred core members of Li Yapeng’s “China’s Best Bikers Alliance” led a ride around Erhai Lake. Stars such as Yang Kun, Jiang Wu, Shang Wenjie, Nie Yuan, and Zeng Shunxiang also came to show support, together spreading straightforward individuality and “machine-like camaraderie.”

In addition to these over a hundred members of the Red Bull “China’s Best Bikers Alliance,” more than 200 motorcycle enthusiasts from Yunnan and across the country also joined the event along the route. A local “Best Biker” from Yunnan has participated in all three years of “Best Biker” activities. He said that motorcycles have become a part of his life, and his childhood dream was to own a beautiful heavyweight motorcycle when he grew up. He achieved this dream at the age of 25. This time, he brought a vintage classic bike to share with fellow riders. Despite being in his forties, his passion for motorcycles has only deepened. “Motorcycles may be machines, but over time, you realize they each have their own temperament and character, and they amplify the wildness and ruggedness deep in a man’s bones. The older you get, the more they stir the dreams and restless energy planted in your heart in your youth.” Gao Ya, a veteran rider from a local bike shop in Kunming, brought a large team of 30 riders.

As an experienced motorcycle enthusiast, actor Nie Yuan is not only a skilled rally driver but also an adept motorcyclist. He is very enthusiastic about fellow biker Li Yapeng’s events and personally participated in the December 20 ride. He said that Red Bull “China’s Best Bikers” promotes not speeding but a culture and a lifestyle attitude. Moreover, holding the event in Dali, a place rich in cultural heritage, is very meaningful.
