The Lanzhou Petrochemical Company of China National Petroleum Corporation is the largest petrochemical enterprise in western China.,Here, participants can get up close and personally experience petroleum, understand every stage of the refining process, and perceive how a single drop of oil is produced.

In the honor room, the guide introduced the past and glories experienced here, as well as numerous examples of how today’s Lanzhou Petrochemical staff carry on the spirit of the older generation of petroleum workers.

We learned that the Yumen Oilfield, located in the heart of the Gobi Desert and at the foot of the Qilian Mountains, is where China’s first oil well, first oilfield, and first petrochemical base were born; we learned how generations of Party and state leaders visited here to inspect, guide, and show concern for the development of Lanzhou Petrochemical; and we learned how Iron Man Wang Jinxi set out from here to Daqing and became a role model of the era.
