“Noosa Festival of SurfingIt is a long-standing and traditional surfing event in Australia. As the first Chinese female surfer to participate, I deeply felt a different kind of surfing atmosphere — one that was particularly rich, more natural, and more mature. In such a large-scale competition, with so many participants and a wide range of skill levels and ages, the event categories were divided very precisely. Even more incredible was the inclusion of a pet surfing competition, which shows just how widespread surfing has become. Regarding the approach to surfing competitions and surfing itself — facing different contests with different attitudes — it’s actually hard to put into words. This time inNoosaI met many friends, such asHonulua Blomfield,Harley Ingleby,Karina Rozunko,Harrison Roach, all of whom are well-known surfers from the World Surf League. Being able to compete with them on the same stage, exchange techniques and wave judgment methods, and enjoy the Australian surfing vibe with everyone — this experience was incredibly precious and important to me. I feel that compared to the competition results, what matters more is enjoying the culture, making new friends, and learning something new from each person. If you want to compete, you have to believe in yourself.”

Compared to the previous two times, this time I finally had the chance to catch the surf break I’ve always dreamed of —Frist Point Noosa!I’m also honored to have been invited to take part in theG&SLongboard & Shortboard Swap Surfing event, which is a really fun surfing competition.20minutes long, the format requires competitors to ride one wave each on a longboard and a shortboard, and the final score is based on the highest-scoring wave from either board.5The final score is also ranked based on the highest score of the best longboard or shortboard wave in each heat.”

(21With multiple events,800dozens of professionalSurfersurfers taking part,) althoughMonicaGuo Shujuan&TZand Tiezhuang didn’t make it to the finals, they received numerous rounds of applause and recognition from the audience and judges at the event. ForMonicaGuo Shujuan, who was competing in Australia for the first time, the pressure was high, but it was precisely this intense competitive atmosphere that accelerated her growth as a surfer. As forTZTiezhuang, competing for the third time, he showed significant improvement compared to previous events.
Participating in the NOOSA International Surfing Competition also gave them a great opportunity to connect with surfers from around the world, marking a new chapter for Chinese professional surfers.
