This marks the first time a domestic theme park has been able to engage such a top-tier stage lighting and scenic design team, fully demonstrating Chimelong Water Park’s leading position as an industry benchmark. Sha Xiaolan stated that the significant investment made by the Chimelong Group and the hiring of a professional team to create such a high-specification stage is a bold move unmatched by other theme parks in China or even globally. The "Chimelong Water Electronic Music SHOW" has become a major brand of Chimelong Water Park, and with continuous innovation, it is expected to break its own record of being the world’s most visited water park for five consecutive years, maintaining its status as the "world’s number one."
Olympic-level sound, light, and electrical design
Chimelong Group has always been committed to creating world-class themed entertainment culture. Before the opening of Chimelong Water Park, the design team conducted research at water parks around the world. When it officially opened to visitors in 2006, it innovatively broke away from traditional water park designs. In addition to introducing multiple international water rides, it also created the world’s first performance stage built inside a water park, which even left theme park owners from the United States and Canada in awe when they visited.
Through continuous innovation, the "Chimelong Water Electronic Music SHOW" has become a unique trendsetter, attracting many EDM enthusiasts over the years. This year, Chimelong invested heavily to invite the production team behind the "Beijing 8 Minutes" at the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics closing ceremony to build the most internationally standardized electronic music stage lighting system for the show. Led by national first-class stage lighting designer Sha Xiaolan, who has previously designed stage and lighting for world-renowned events such as the Beijing Olympics, the Guangzhou Asian Games opening and closing ceremonies, and the G20 Summit in Hangzhou, the design concept mainly involves ingeniously integrating the sky, earth, humanity, and water through stage and lighting design, allowing visitors to fully immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the water electronic music show.

World-class stage lighting effects
The Dutch company Dutchrigger was responsible for the specific installation and arrangement of the lighting system. Specializing in the design and technical support for stage lighting, sound, video, and more in large-scale performance projects, the company has worked everywhere from the big stages in Amsterdam to major stadiums across the globe. Martijn, the head of Dutchrigger, has personally participated over the past decade as a stage manager in the global tours of Madonna, MTV Awards, and the Dutch version of "The Voice," among many other large-scale performances and TV shows worldwide.
Martijn said that upon receiving the invitation for the "Chimelong Water Electronic Music SHOW," his first impression was, "This water-based electronic music stage is so cool!" Martijn’s team aimed to create an atmosphere similar to a Miami beach party, using lighting to complement the EDM and drive the party atmosphere to successive climaxes. Visitors can fully relax and enjoy the moment at this water-based EDM party. The lighting design they presented is flexible, using a variety of lighting types such as spotlights, wash lights, and strobe lights to create diverse stage shapes. In addition, the lighting around the stage environment, including the background trees, was enhanced, allowing the entire background to be illuminated at the right moments to create a more cohesive overall picture. Then, all the lighting can change effects according to the beat and rhythm of the music, ensuring that the audience is left in absolute awe.
Secondly, the ability to perform remote offline programming of lighting is the second unique strength of Dutchrigger. They established a complete and accurate 3D model in their overseas pre-programming studio, which can also incorporate elements such as video, fireworks, and water effects to make it more comprehensive. Creating this 3D model enables remote programming of time-coded performance effects. All that’s needed is to send the music to the 3D studio, and within a few days, a time-coded programmed performance file can be returned. This means the entire set of stage lighting can be easily adapted to different DJs and music, ensuring that visitors always enjoy a complete top-tier experience.
International water performances
In addition, the screen system designed by a world-class EDM planning company will also make its debut, combined with stage effects such as colored fireworks, pyrotechnics, and water curtain fountains, as well as dazzling water performances and extreme acts by master performers from around the world, allowing visitors to enjoy a diverse range of aquatic entertainment performances.

Chimelong Water Park introduced a brand-new performance team for 2018 to join the "Chimelong Water Electronic Music SHOW." First is the Australian aerial water stunt team, which showcases not only gravity-defying aerial water flight techniques but also rare surfboard shows in China, offering strong visual impact. Additionally, there’s a samba group from the Americas and a modern dance troupe of European girls, keeping the audience enthralled.
