Shanghai Coordinates × ISPO – Take on the Challenge!

It’s said that in the spring of 2016, all available spots were snatched up within just an hour and a half. Based on pre-registration data, the average lottery rate for official registration was less than 20%. Some routes were even snapped up instantly, with the lowest lottery rate being as low as 5%. This matches the recent lottery rate for Shanghai car plates—landing a spot in the event is as tough as winning a Shanghai license plate.

So here’s the question: what kind of competition is this hard to get into?

– About the 2018 China Coordinates “Shanghai Urban Orienteering Outdoor Challenge”:

It is jointly organized by the Chinese Mountaineering Association, Shanghai Sports Federation, and Shanghai Jiushi (Group) Co., Ltd., and hosted by the Shanghai Mountaineering and Outdoor Sports Association.

The competition format will continue the tradition of the event — “using the city as the arena, public transportation as the course, teams as the format, and reaching checkpoints and completing assigned tasks as the rules.”

After seven years of development, the Shanghai Urban Orienteering Outdoor Challenge has become a well-known outdoor fitness brand. The event is also one of Shanghai’s top twelve premium events, and so far, it is the largest in scale, highest in participation, most participant-driven, and covering the most landmarks among nationwide urban outdoor carnival events. With the themes of “public participation, city-wide excitement, and full-spectrum experience,” it has become a new choice for a city sports brand.

This year, ISPO Shanghai has become a partner of the 2018 China Coordinates “Shanghai Urban Orienteering Outdoor Challenge”!
