“Hot Snow” in May · A Heartwarming Mother’s Day, creating unique family moments
The second Sunday of every May is Mother’s Day — a day to honor mothers and enjoy precious family time. When it comes to family bonding, aside from enjoying the beauty of all three seasons, experiencing Tibetan and Qiang ethnic culture together and picking cherries is just perfect.
The area boasts a long-standing ethnic culture, rich and vibrant local customs, architecturally beautiful buildings with strong aesthetic appeal, and delicious ethnic cuisine — all reasons you simply can’t refuse to visit. Whether you’re here to learn about ethnic traditions or to admire the stunning Tibetan and Qiang landscapes, you’ll thoroughly enjoy the experience.
Moreover, this place is famous for its cherries. As May and June mark cherry season, the fruits are ripe and abundant. The cherries are large, with skins ranging from red to purplish-red, and their flesh is pale yellow, semi-soft, juicy, and sweet with a pleasant tang — sweeter than first love. So bringing your family here during Mother’s Day to pick cherries together and enjoy both the harvest and the trip will definitely be a heartwarming experience.
