On November 1, the one-month-long 2018 "Impressions of Beijing" Travel Photography Competition came to a successful conclusion.
This event was organized by the Beijing Municipal Commission of Tourism Development and invited both Beijing residents and visitors in the city to submit travel photos showcasing the unique character of Beijing. A total of 1,759 travel photography works were submitted. After multiple rounds of online voting and screening by professional judges invited by the organizing committee, 50 outstanding travel photography works were selected in this competition.

It is reported that the expert judging panel for this travel photography competition was highly distinguished, including Han Weiping, Chief Photographer of VisitNordic, Du Zi, Executive Curator of the Academic Exhibition at the Pingyao International Photography Festival, and Wu Shunan, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Chinese edition of FOTO-VIDEO magazine, among other well-known domestic photographers serving as professional judges. Experts noted that the scope of submissions was remarkably broad, interpreting the charm of Beijing’s sights from the perspective of visitors.
The list of winners and the awarded works of the 2018 "Impressions of Beijing" Travel Photography Competition were publicly announced on the travel channel of the People's Daily app on November 1.
