The sweltering summer is igniting the enthusiasm of outdoor lovers. Lately, the advancement phase of the "Travelling with Ye? 2013 Lafuma Hiking Season" has been in full swing. With 60 teams totaling 120 contestants who made it past the preliminary round, the competition has reached a fever pitch as participants share photos, flaunt their gear, and unveil their travel plans—truly having the time of their lives. We were lucky enough to interview some of the teams that have completed the challenges, so let’s take a look at their joy and wonderful experiences together.
Challenge One: A Gorgeous Gear Show-Off
This gear-sharing challenge has seen an array of impressive displays, with participants from all walks of life joining in the fun. From the get-go, the activity triggered a wave of enthusiasm among contestants, with everyone from handsome guys and beautiful girls to family teams taking turns to show off. Here you can see dashing hikers trekking through deserts with the little Ye flag, creative photo compositions of Lafuma products edited with Meitu XiuXiu, and imaginative setups using Lafuma gear. No matter the style or design, each submission radiates the contestants' love for the Lafuma brand and support for the event.
One submission came from “Smile at the Corner of My Mouth,” a winner of the event’s exclusive gift pack. Her vibrant orange flag shines brilliantly against her radiant smile. The 200 exclusive gift packs previously given away by Ye through an online questionnaire—including car flags, team banners, eco-friendly signs, and other travel accessories, as well as Lafuma’s beautifully designed gift bags and passport holders—are all exquisitely crafted and have won everyone’s hearts.

Challenge Two: A Particularly Fun Journey Through the Waystations
The Ye Companion Waystation Showcase is a key component of the advancement stage of the "Travelling with Ye?" 2013 Lafuma Hiking Season. Each contestant who advanced from the preliminary selection received a dream gear gift pack provided by the organizing committee, which includes a 200-yuan voucher that can be used at any of Lafuma’s full-price stores across nearly 30 cities on the Chinese mainland to exchange for the latest outdoor fashion gear. On the day the gift packs were distributed, many contestants shared fun photos with the stores. The bright colors and diverse styles were a real treat for the eyes and filled us with envy.
According to the organizing committee, the Waystation Showcase also featured various awards such as “Ye Loves the Logo,” “Ye Stands Out,” the “Ye with the Crowd” Award, and “Lafreedoma,” evaluated based on logo visibility in photos, gear coordination, store crowd size, and creative freedom—no wonder everyone was so eager to share their photos and come up with such creative ideas.

Challenge Three: A Story with Little Ye
If we had to name the most challenging part of the advancement stage, it would undoubtedly be the “Group Outdoor Hiking Activity Showcase.” In this segment, teams from different categories are required to present themes that reflect their unique spirit: the Solo Group showcases the personal dream of self-improvement; the Couple Group embodies the romantic dream of mutual growth; and the Mixed Group highlights the friendship dream of shared passions. How each group interprets their journey varies from person to person.
Luo Jing is one of the advancing contestants in the Dashing Solo Adventurers group. As one of the few elite female high-altitude mountaineers in China, she boasts an impressive record of successfully summiting five peaks over 8,000 meters. This time, she tackled Pakistan’s Gasherbrum I (8,068m) and Gasherbrum II (8,034m) with her Lafuma backpack. We were fortunate enough to interview her: “Climbing is a form of self-discipline and pursuit for me, as well as my highest tribute to the Alpine-style mountaineering spirit advocated by this Lafuma Hiking Season. I’m using my actions to support the dream of conquering Mont Blanc!”

Advancing Contestant of the Dashing Solo Group: Luo Jing
Witnessing these passionate hearts, we can’t help but admire their enthusiasm and courage. Of course, none of this would be possible without the consistent support of the Lafuma brand.
