The scorching summer heat is fueling the passion of outdoor enthusiasts. Recently, the advancement stage of the “Leaves Accompany My Journey”? 2013 Lafuma Hiking Season has been in full swing. With 60 teams and 120 participants from the three categories that advanced from the preliminary selection, the competition has reached a fever pitch. From sharing photos and showcasing gear to presenting hiking routes, everyone is having a blast. We were lucky enough to interview some of the participating teams that have completed their missions, so let’s take a look at their joy and wonderful experiences together.
Mission One: A Gorgeous Gear Show-Off
This gear show-off session has seen a wide variety of impressive displays, sparking a wave of enthusiasm among participants as soon as the activity began. Whether it’s handsome guys, beautiful girls, or family teams, they’ve all taken turns to shine. Here you can see cool hikers carrying the small leaf flag trekking through the desert, creative photo compositions of Lafuma products edited with Meitu XiuXiu, and imaginative setups using Lafuma gear. No matter the style or design, each one reflects the participants’ love for the Lafuma brand and their support for the event.
This photo comes from “Smile at the Corner of the Mouth,” one of the recipients of the event’s exclusive gift pack. The beautiful orange flag shines even brighter against her radiant smile. The 200 exclusive gift packs previously given out by Lafuma through an online questionnaire—ranging from car stickers, team flags, eco-friendly signs, and other travel accessories, to exquisite Lafuma gift bags and passport holders—are all so finely made and have won everyone’s heart.

The Leaves Accompany My Journey outpost showcase is a key component of the advancement stage of the “Leaves Accompany My Journey”? 2013 Lafuma Hiking Season. Each participant who advanced from the preliminary selection received a dream gear gift pack provided by the organizing committee, which includes a 200-yuan voucher per person. This voucher can be used at any Lafuma retail store across nearly 30 cities on the Chinese mainland to exchange for the latest outdoor fashion gear. On the day the gift packs were distributed, many participants shared fun photos with the stores. The bright colors and diverse styles were truly a treat for the eyes and left us feeling envious.
According to the organizing committee, the outpost showcase also awarded various prizes to participants, including “Leaf Lover Logo,” “Uniquely Leafy,” “Leaves Accompany the Crowd” Award, and “Lafreedoma,” judged based on logo visibility in photos, gear coordination, number of people in-store, and creative freedom. Mission Three: A Story with Little Leaf by Your Side
If we had to name the most challenging part of the advancement stage, it would undoubtedly be the “Group Outdoor Hiking Activity Showcase” mission. In this segment, different groups are required to present themes according to their category: the solo group highlights the personal dream of perseverance; the couple group showcases the love dream of mutual growth; the mixed group embodies the friendship dream of shared ideals. How each group interprets their experience varies from person to person.
Luo Jing is one of the advancing participants from the Free-Spirited Solo Group. As one of the few elite female high-altitude climbers in China, she has an impressive record of successfully summiting five peaks over 8,000 meters. This time, she conquered Pakistan’s Gasherbrum I (8,068m) and Gasherbrum II (8,034m) while carrying a Lafuma backpack. We were fortunate to interview her personally: “Climbing is a form of self-discipline and pursuit for me, and it is also my highest tribute to the Alpine-style mountaineering spirit advocated by the Lafuma Hiking Season. I’m using my own actions to support the dream of challenging Mont Blanc!”

Free-Spirited Solo Group Advancing Participant: Luo Jing
Looking at these passionate hearts, we can’t help but admire their enthusiasm and courage. Of course, none of this would be possible without the unwavering support of the Lafuma brand. Committed to providing outdoor enthusiasts with a platform to express, release, and challenge themselves, Lafuma has organized a series of hiking events in recent years. “We hope that more friends will join hands with Lafuma and become part of the outdoor community, spreading the green, healthy, and positive spirit of outdoor activities.
