The annual Beijing Ski Industry Summit is gearing up for this year’s major event. The 2014–2015 Beijing Ski Industry Summit is scheduled to be held on September 17–18 at Beijing Crab Island Resort. As the premier platform for high-level professionals in China’s ski industry to exchange information, discuss issues, and explore collaborations, the summit will gather elites from all corners of the domestic ski industry — including executives from ski resorts across the country, heads of ski facility and equipment suppliers, representatives from ski industry management, academic and research institutions, ski clubs (websites), and travel agencies — to engage in discussions on some of the hot topics surrounding the development of China’s ski industry.
This year’s Beijing Ski Industry Summit spans two days and features three major highlights that attendees can look forward to:
First, the Olympic Bid Topic. This year’s ski industry summit will focus on the opportunities presented by the Olympic bid and how they relate to China’s ski industry. Participants will explore how ski resorts, equipment suppliers, academic institutions, and clubs (ski websites) can seize opportunities, share benefits, and shoulder responsibilities. Look forward to authoritative updates on the Olympic bid, behind-the-scenes stories, and participation in the “Olympic Bid Signature Wall” activity, where we’ll make China’s ski industry voice heard in strong support of Beijing’s bid to host the 2022 Winter Olympics!
Second, the Summit Dialogue. Under the theme of “Sharing, Collaboration, and Win-Win,” this year’s summit will feature dialogue centered around “Destination Ski Resorts and the Ski Resort Lifestyle” and “Creating a Virtuous Cycle in Ski Resort Management.” Experienced industry leaders will be invited to share their forward-looking insights on the development of China’s ski industry and practical experience in ski resort operations.
Third, the Sub-Forum Activities. For the first time this year, the ski industry summit will include dedicated sub-forums on ski resorts, ski resort facilities and equipment, and ski gear. These forums will address issues of interest within various segments of the ski industry, making the exchanges more direct, professional, and efficient, while also providing more opportunities for participation.
The 2014–2015 Beijing Ski Industry Summit is organized by Outdoor Life Magazine, co-organized by the Taou Ski Resort in Chongli, and hosted by Ski Industry Journal Editorial Department. Mr. He Ping, Executive President of the Beidahu Ski Resort, has been specially invited to serve as the moderator.

Outdoor Life – Ski Enthusiast Magazine
Distributed nationwide through post offices, established in 2005

Starting from the 2005–2006 ski season, Outdoor Life Magazine has featured two regular issues (December and January) focused on ski fashion, evolving into what is now widely recognized as the Outdoor Life – Ski Enthusiast Magazine. We have assembled an advisory committee comprising former Secretary-General of the Chinese Ski Association Shan Zhaojian, Chairman of Nanshan Ski Resort in Beijing Lu Jian, Chairman of Junshan Ski Resort He Ping, and General Manager of Beidahu Ski Resort in Jilin Wu Bin. Through years of effort, the magazine has become one of the mainstream media voices in China’s ski industry.

A communication platform for China’s ski industry, established in 2006

Since the 2006–2007 ski season, every September, Outdoor Life Magazine has hosted the “Beijing Ski Industry Summit” in Beijing. We invite leaders of well-known ski resorts across the country, along with brands in ski equipment and gear, ski clubs, and related mass media, to engage in dialogue on key issues in the ski industry and promote its healthy development.
Summit Objective: To create a platform for China’s ski industry to exchange information, discuss issues, and collaborate.
The 2013–2014 Beijing Ski Industry Summit saw over 50 renowned domestic ski resorts, along with several ski equipment and gear brands, ski research and teaching institutions, and ski clubs. More than 200 professionals from China’s ski industry participated in a series of activities organized by the summit, including keynote speeches, panel discussions, and brand promotion displays.
