Recently, the National Stadium (Bird’s Nest) night tour program has added a new experience, the “Bird’s Nest Spectacular·2017 Light & Sound Show” has officially opened to the public, attracting a large number of visitors and becoming a new highlight for nighttime exploration in the city.
The “Bird’s Nest Spectacular·2017 Light & Sound Show” is jointly organized by the National Stadium Company and Beijing Rui Feng Culture Company. It runs from April 29 to July 20, with five shows daily from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM. The show uses the Bird’s Nest as its backdrop, blending classical and modern musical styles, with the light display as the main visual element, complemented by special effects such as laser shows and electronic fireworks, creating a brand-new light and sound spectacle themed around Olympic songs.
The “Bird’s Nest Spectacular” light and sound show is divided into three chapters: Era of Glory, Power of the Spirit, and Light of Honor. Centered around the Olympics, it presents the origins of the Games, classic music representing the Olympic spirit, and the glory of iconic Olympic moments. The musical segments feature well-known Olympic songs, carefully arranged to take audiences on a journey to relive the timeless Olympic spirit. Visually, the show incorporates numerous Olympic elements to evoke memorable moments of sports and the Games.
Visually, the show still centers on the light display but significantly increases the proportion of laser imaging, enriching the presentation methods while adding more dynamic content variations. Content is created specifically for six different songs, vividly showcasing themes such as the Olympic rings spirit, classic Olympic events, the Winter Olympics, Olympic dreams, the Beijing Olympics, and “One World, One Dream.”
With its rich laser technology and dazzling light imagery, the show weaves together the spirit of sports, Olympic culture, and emotionally resonant music. Performed in the “dual-Olympic venue” Bird’s Nest, this light and sound spectacle is both moving and deeply meaningful.
Currently, to meet the diverse needs of visitors, the Bird’s Nest has introduced two ticket options: “Bird’s Nest Light & Music Show” and “Bird’s Nest VIP Light & Music Show (VIP Night Tour + Light Show).” Tickets can be purchased through various online and offline channels. Children under 1.2 meters enter free, and seniors aged 70 and above as well as people with disabilities holding valid IDs enjoy free admission.
