"Green Mountains Action" — a large-scale outdoor environmental protection campaign organized by Orion Outdoor Theme Shopping Mall in collaboration with Green Field Network — is a major environmental initiative focused on Beijing and its surrounding areas. Starting from April 2012, Orion will join forces with Green Field to mobilize outdoor enthusiasts to conduct ongoing monthly activities aimed at clearing up litter left along hiking trails around Beijing, protecting the environment, and restoring the natural beauty of the green mountains.
The "Green Mountains Action" aims to "remove litter and restore the natural beauty of the green mountains." Green Mountains = Clean Mountains, symbolizing environmental protection and harmonious coexistence with nature. We hope that friends who enjoy outdoor activities will enhance their environmental awareness while engaging in outdoor pursuits, live in harmony with nature, and preserve the beauty around them.
The "Green Mountains Action" will run for one year. Through this campaign, organizers hope that outdoor enthusiasts will not only directly participate in cleaning up litter, but more importantly, that they and those around them will become aware of the importance of environmental protection. Participants will also learn practical knowledge about environmental conservation during the activities, encouraging a broader community of outdoor lovers to start with themselves, protect the environment, cherish nature, and leave behind a legacy of green mountains and clear waters for themselves and future generations.
