— "Red Bull Energy Challenge – Changbai": First Northern China Skiing Competition Northwest Division Successfully Concludes
On January 27, 2013, the "Red Bull Energy Challenge – Changbai: First Northern China Skiing Competition" Northwest Division, sponsored by Red Bull Vitamin Beverage Co., Ltd. and organized by Green Field Outdoor Network, came to a successful end. The champions of the snowboard and alpine skiing divisions were Speed 1 Team and Snow Goose 2 Team, respectively. The selection of the Northwest Division champions marked the successful conclusion of the preliminary phase of this competition.

The venue for the Northwest Division — Xinjiang Silk Road International Resort — featured ideal temperatures, year-round wind-free conditions, and slopes perfectly designed for optimal athlete performance. This event attracted a total of 25 snowboard teams and 25 alpine skiing teams, involving over 150 participants. Thanks to its short distance from Urumqi and convenient travel, many ski enthusiasts flocked to the venue to cheer on their club teammates, further energizing the athletes. This led to an exciting series of matches that brought the preliminary competition to a thrilling climax.

The bold and enthusiastic spirit unique to the athletes from the northwest region made the entire competition atmosphere vibrant. The "pursuit race" added a fresh, fun, and challenging element. As they look forward to the finals in Changbai Mountain in the distant northeast, athletes regarded this opportunity as rare and therefore cherished this divisional event even more, giving their all and racing with full energy during the competition.

In the end, six teams including Speed 1 Team and Snow Goose 2 Team secured one spot each for the finals. On the podium, they cheered joyfully, basking in the applause and blessings of their fellow northwestern skiing enthusiasts. With this, the preliminary rounds of the "Red Bull Energy Challenge – Changbai: First Northern China Skiing Competition" in the three divisions — Northeast, North China, and Northwest — have all concluded successfully. The top three snowboard and alpine skiing teams from these three locations will compete in Changbai on March 2 to battle for the championship title of the First Northern China Skiing Competition.
