On the eve of Police Day, the Taiping Police Friends Office and the Taiping Police Precinct celebrated this special day for law enforcement officers. On the morning of the 12th, they combined the event with the officers' regular training to hold the “Brave Feet Police” hiking activity. Deputy Director Xu Huangtong of the Taiping Police Friends Office and other officials joined the officers in hiking the well-known “Mouse Hill (Laoshu Qi) Trail.” Full of energy throughout, they enjoyed the tranquility of the mountain forest and the fresh phytoncides, allowing the officers to soak in the festive atmosphere.
After gathering, the group cheered in unison and set off toward the Mouse Hill Trail. The quiet country road offered stunning views of Greater Taichung, truly breathtaking. The event also thoughtfully provided bright red, juicy watermelons and cool mung bean soup to help everyone beat the heat and quench their thirst. The highlight of the activity came at the summit, where each participant could receive a lucky draw ticket, with various souvenirs up for grabs—giving everyone a chance to test their luck. All of this was designed to let the police officers feel the festive spirit and foster a sense of camaraderie within the big family.
The Taiping Police Precinct stated that police work is non-stop, day and night, with heavy duties and high work pressure. It is hoped that through this event, in addition to relieving daily stress, officers can also become more familiar with their jurisdiction and be encouraged to engage in positive leisure activities, continuing to strive for public safety and their families.
